Get moving for your mates! MATES in Construction is rallying the tradies of Aotearoa to register for this year’s Long Lap.
This April, the fundraising drive kicks into gear once more, following the success of 2025 events to raise funds and awareness about mental health among construction sector workers across the motu.
In 2025, more than 450 Long Lappers and 65 teams registered, covering 53,234km between them by running, riding, swimming, walking or wheeling and raising $62,000. Organisers say this year they have even more ambitious goals have some ambitious goals to make Long Lap 2026 bigger and better, and they need your help.
This year, MATES are seeking Long Lap sponsors, as well as champions and participants for the challenge. Registrations opened in February, so MATES are encouraging workers to get involved now in any way they can, starting by signing up to get all the latest Long Lap information directly to your inbox.
Entrants can sign up as individuals or teams, setting up a profile page and sharing it to encourage donations for their activity.
