Start shoulder tapping the standouts from your crew, because nominations are open now for the NZIOB Building People Awards and Next Gen Awards – and close on May 29.
Hosted by the NZ Institute of Building, these awards recognise and celebrate people at all stages, places and scales in the building and construction industry doing great things.
This year, there are 12 categories open for nominations, with CARTERS among the category sponsors for the awards, which will culminate in a ceremony event on August 30 in Tāmaki Makaurau.
"To find the people doing awesome things in our industry we need you to tell us their stories by nominating them for an award. You can put together a nomination for yourself or someone else," says the NZIOB on announcing the opening of the award entry window.
The 2024 award categories are as follows:
- Resene Next Gen Award
- Emerging Leader Award
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing | Wairuatanga
- Collaboration | Kotahitanga
- Consultants | Matanga
- Innovation | Auaha
- Digital Technology | Matihiko
- Under $10 Million Project Award
- $10-$25 Million Project Award
- $25-$50 Million Project Award
- Over $50 Million Project Award
- Supreme | Teitei Award (will be chosen from category winners)
NZIB says, "If you know of someone you think should apply you might need to give them a shoulder tap and a nudge - a bit of encouragement can go a long way!"
Tickets for the August 30 awards evening in Auckland will be available from June.
