Developed with input from tradies, a new free online mental health programme teaches techniques to keep safety and moods high.

Learn how to spot the early signs of stress — in yourself and your crew — before it affects your safety or mindset with a new, free online mental health programme.

Developed in collaboration with Professor of Health, Dr Grant Schofield, with input from tradies themselves, this self-paced Live Well Build Well programme equips builders and residential construction workers with practical tools to recognise stress, manage pressure, and boost resilience both on and off the job site.

“Life onsite can be tough. But you don’t have to tackle it alone,” says Live Well Build Well’s Rafael Caso. “This module created by Live Well Build Well is here to give you the tools to navigate stress, build resilience, and show up strong – at work and at home. Whether you’re on the tools or running the site, mental fitness matters.

“This programme is built by people who understand the pressures you face every day and aims to lead to fewer blowouts, better calls on-site, and more heading issues off at the pass.”

Why choose this mental fitness course?

Tailored for New Zealand builders and tradies, this course allows people to learn at their own pace, to their own schedule. The Site Safe–hosted online learning platform makes it easy to complete the module when it suits you. Learners can complete it all in one go or split it up over a few days, and revisit the modules any time, as often as needed.

Created by Live Well Build Well and mental fitness expert Dr Grant Schofield, this training is grounded in expert knowledge, with a no-nonsense, straight-talking approach.
